Hi there my name is Raj Surnam and i have been in the serviced accommodation industry since 2019 (5+ Years now) I grew my own serviced apartment company to its peak to around 167 units and one thing which i struggled with was finding good reliable virtual assistants! It was quite frankly a nightmare! Posting multiple job ads on indeed on sites such as Facebook even doing multiple interviews after interviews after interviews! I then found a virtual assistant company who sourced me 3 VAs for a 24/7 service however the price was steep at $10 an hour ($6720) a month! These VAs we had to teach remotely from ground up no experience on top of that they would go afk randomly when we would need them the most guest communication appalling!
Main reason was as they were working from home thousands of miles away from us we had no way of properly seeing what they were doing. Even screen recording monitoring on their laptops and such could be manipulated! However was the only VAs around! Slowly after we downscaled our rental portfolio to move more into serviced accommodation management when we realised this cost of 6.2k a month was no longer sufficient on top of this the VA company we hired from had it so salary would increase regardless of poor performance! This was a huge success guest satisfaction went up no more afk or late replies best of all was not costing a fortune!
This is when I came up on the idea to create a virtual assistant company to help other operators who are scaling their businesses who were/ maybe at the same point as i was back then.
